Privacy Policy
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. The only information we hold is what you deliberately send us, and this page explains exactly what happens to it.

The short version
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and shows no advertising. Nothing tracks you here.
The only personal information we hold is what you type into the project form and send us on purpose. We use it to reply to you and to quote your project. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing.
If you want a copy of what we hold, or want it deleted, email us and we will do it.
Who we are
Vyda designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for local businesses. For the purposes of Canadian privacy law we are the organization responsible for the personal information described here.
You can reach us about anything on this page at vydawebsites@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you submit the project form, we receive exactly the fields you filled in:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your business name, business phone number, and business address (or a note that you operate online only)
- Your personal mobile number, if you chose to give it
- Your current website address, if you have one
- The plan you are curious about, your timeline, and which features you selected
- Anything you wrote in the notes field
We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identification, passwords, or any other sensitive information. Please do not put any of that in the notes field.
Our web host records standard server access logs, which include IP addresses and browser user-agent strings. These are generated automatically for security and troubleshooting, are not linked to form submissions, and are not used to build any profile of you.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare your free sketch, and quote your project. That is the entire purpose.
By submitting the form you are consenting to us contacting you about your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any message from us and asking us to stop, and we will.
We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send newsletters or promotional email.
Who else sees it
We keep the number of parties involved deliberately small:
- Hostinger, our web host, stores this website and processes the form submission on its servers.
- Google, because our studio inbox is a Gmail address, which is where your enquiry is delivered and read.
- FormSubmit, a form relay service, but only as a fallback: if our own mail delivery fails, your submission is relayed through them so that your enquiry is not silently lost. In normal operation it is never used.
That is the complete list. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to train anything.
Your information may be stored or processed on servers outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, and may be subject to the laws of those countries.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our inbox for as long as we have an active or reasonably foreseeable working relationship with you, and for up to two years afterwards so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will delete it and confirm once it is done, except where we are required to keep a record for tax or legal reasons.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Access to the studio inbox is restricted to the people who run Vyda and protected by two-factor authentication.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information in a way that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will tell you and the appropriate regulator, promptly and in plain language.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete it
- Withdraw your consent to us contacting you
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think we have got something wrong
Email vydawebsites@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for any of this.
Children
This is a website for business owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than buried in a diff.
